Broadcast your message with a podcast ...
Podcasts are quickly becoming the way to broadcast your
message across the Internet! More than 10 million people like
you are already downloading and listening to podcasts, and the
number of podcasts available on the 'Net is growing daily.
What is a podcast?
Podcasting derives from combining the words iPod® and
broadcasting. A podcast is a way to broadcast multimedia files -
audio or video - over the Internet for playback on mobile
devices (ex. MP3 players) and personal computers. The host of a
podcast is the "podcaster." Podcasting allows the podcaster to
create a broadcast about a subject of interest to him/her and
their subscribers. Subscribers are then able to listen to the
podcast, how, when and where they want.
What is a subscription/feed/RSS?
In relation to podcasting, you can subscribe to a podcast, or
radio show, so that you automatically download new episodes when
they become available. You subscribe to the podcast through a
feed, which delivers the information. RSS is a type of feed.
